3 Construction Workers Injured as they Plummet 4 Floors on Elevator Shaft in Brooklyn

Brooklyn, NY – Three construction workers in Downtown Brooklyn were injured after an elevator shaft gave way and plummeted four floors down to the bottom of the elevator pit in a residential building under construction along 170 Tillary Street Monday morning. All three victims were transported to Methodist Hospital to recover from broken bones. The Department of Buildings is conducting an investigation on the cause of the accident and enforcement actions are pending results.

Workers in the construction industry are prone to risks and potential hazards.
