Queens, NYC – A 52-year-old woman was killed by an NYPD SUV while walking on a bicycle lane on Beach Channel Drive in Far Rockaway. The police vehicle was responding to an emergency call and collided with a Toyota Corolla that was making a left turn, causing the SUV to hit the pedestrian. The woman was transported to the hospital but was pronounced dead. The officers sustained minor injuries, while the other driver involved in the crash was unharmed. The investigation is ongoing.
