66-Year-Old Bronx Woman in Coma After Falling Down the Stairs in her NYCHA Apartment

Bronx, NY – A 66-year-old Bronx woman was critically injured after falling down a flight of stairs in her New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) building on January 2. According to her family, the elevators in the building were inoperable – that’s why she took the stairs one floor down from the 19th floor of her apartment. Serious injuries left her in a coma.
