Alleged Carjacker Crashes Car With Four Kids Into Truck

New York – A carjacker allegedly attempted to run away with a vehicle carrying four kids, but eventually crashed into a truck and fled the scene. At around 4:30 p.m. on April 1, a woman exited her vehicle while the engine was still running, leaving behind four kids inside the car at the intersection of Heller Parkway and Branch Brook Drive in Newark. The suspect entered her car but slammed into a nearby truck and took off in a white Jeep. The children were uninjured and investigation is ongoing.
