Boy Killed, 3 Others Injured in Queens House Fire

Queens, NYC – A 9-year-old boy was killed and three others were injured in a fire that engulfed a house in Far Rockaway at around 6:30 a.m. on July 11. Reports say that the blaze was sparked by dozens of candles being lit for a religious ceremony in the Queens residence. 106 firefighters battled the two-alarm fire. The boy was rushed to an area hospital where he could not be saved.
