Bronx Hit-and-Run Kills Elderly Pedestrian

Bronx, NY – A 72-year-old Bronx man was killed by a hit-and-run incident in Williamsbridge at about 5:40 p.m. on November 3. The fatal crash happened when the elderly man, who was walking on East 211th Street crosswalk, was struck by a white four-door sedan, making a left turn from southbound on Paulding Avenue. The driver fled the scene leaving the victim knocked on the ground. While the pedestrian was lying in the street, a 75-year-old driver making the same left turn in a 2010 Mercedes Benz sedan slammed into him and dragged him along the street, but the driver remained on the scene. The patient was rushed to Montefiore Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
