Driver Dead, Passenger Seriously Injured in NY One-Car Crash

New York – A 35-year-old driver died and a 41-year-old male passenger was seriously injured after their car struck a utility pole and flipped over at the area of Lake Rd and Rt 9W in Congers at around 11:45 p.m. Friday. Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger was taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment of severe injuries.
