Elderly Woman Dies, Man Critically Injured in Staten Island Hit-and-Run

Staten Island, NY – A 68-year-old woman was killed and a 70-year-old man was critically injured when a hit-and-run driver collided into their Mercedes Benz at around 6:20 p.m. on February 16. The couple was traveling east on Lamberts Lane when the suspect driving a Honda Accord headed north on Elson Street crashed into their car. The Honda driver fled the crash scene on foot. Both patients were rushed to Richmond University Medical Center, where the female victim was pronounced dead and the male victim was treated for severe head trauma.
