Female Passenger Dies, Husband Critically Injured in Staten Island Hit-and-Run

Staten Island, NY – A 68-year-old female passenger was killed and her 70-year-old husband, who was driving, was critically injured after a hit-and-run incident in Graniteville, Staten Island at around 6:20 p.m. on February 16. The fatal crash took place when a driver of a zooming 2020 Honda Accord blew through a stop sign and T-boned the couple’s Mercedes at Lamberts Lane and Elson Street. The Honda driver fled the scene on foot. The victims were rushed to Richmond University Medical Center, where the woman was pronounced dead and the male patient treated for sustaining severe head trauma.
