Queens, NY – A fatal motorcycle crash involving a 41-year-old man took place near the Cross Bay Boulevard exit in Ozone Park, Queens at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5. The male motorcyclist came from Flushing to drop some flowers and a birthday card for his mom, and then headed west at high speed on the Belt Parkway when he smashed into an NYPD cruiser that had stopped to help a disabled car. He was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, but couldn’t be saved.
Motorcycle fatalities have increased this year, with fewer drivers on the road due to the Coronavirus lockdown apparently encouraging riskier riding.
