Nurse on Bicycle Fatally Struck by Motorcycle in Brooklyn on her Way Home from Night Shift

Brooklyn, NY – After finishing a long night’s work as a nurse in NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, the 31-year-old South Korean immigrant died when a motorcycle struck her while bicycling on her way home. The fatal crash occurred at around 7:30 a.m. on October 3 as the nurse was pedaling east along 56th Street when the 29-year-old motorcyclist heading north on Third Avenue collided with her. Due to the impact, the bicyclist and motorcyclist flew off from their rides. The bicyclist was rushed to the hospital she was working in, but could not be saved.
