One Dead, Five Injured in Three-Alarm Fire in Bronx Apartment

Bronx, NY – One person is dead and five firefighters were injured during a three-alarm fire that engulfed an apartment building near West 165th Street and Anderson Avenue in the Highbridge section of the borough at around 12:30 p.m. on March 9. The victim (whose name was not immediately disclosed) was discovered on the fifth floor, but was pronounced dead at the scene.
