New York City – A Hudson Valley man was killed and a Saugerties woman was injured after a car was struck by a train on Smith Avenue crossing at around 4:00 p.m. on December 1. The 29-year-old female driver of the 1996 Jeep Cherokee sustained minor injuries, while the 39-year-old male passenger was rushed to Kingston Hospital but could not be saved.
