Pedestrian Succumbs to Her Injuries After SUV Strikes Her in Queens

Queens, NYC – An 82-year-old female pedestrian succumbed to her injuries when a 43-year-old driver of a gray Chevrolet Traverse struck her at around 3:20 p.m. on May 23 at the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Corporal Kennedy Street in Bayside. As the Queens woman was near the crosswalk, the SUV rammed into her, knocking her head on the pavement. The victim was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead two days later.
