Long Island, New York – A 46-year-old male pedestrian succumbed to his injuries after being struck by a 2013 Mercedes Benz SUV driven by a 34-year-old Hempstead man at around 1:10 a.m. Sunday. The victim was crossing Fulton Avenue near Clinton Street when the SUV struck him. He was pronounced dead in the hospital five days later.
