Pedestrian With Infant in a Stroller Fatally Struck by Pick-up Truck Driver in Queens

Queens, NYC – A 58-year-old woman was killed, while holding her 19-month-old granddaughter in a stroller, when a 43-year-old unlicensed driver of a 2015 GMC Sierra struck her at the crosswalk on the Cross Island Parkway near 150th Street in Whitestone at around 10:30 a.m. on Jun 24. The pedestrian was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Hospital where she could not be saved, while the infant was taken to Long Island Jewish Cohen Children’s Medical Center and is expected to survive.
