Pizza Delivery Man Critically Injured After Being Struck by Speeding Honda Driver on the Lower East Side

Manhattan, NY – A pizza delivery man on a bicycle was critically injured after a 21-year-old driver of a speeding Honda Accord struck him on Delancey Street and Columbia Street on the Lower East Side at around 6:00 p.m. on February 8. Due to the impact, the bicycle flew off the windshield of the car before landing on the ground. The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital with severe head trauma. The driver initially fled the crash scene, but came back about 30 minutes later. He was arrested with pending charges.
