Police Van Fatally Strikes Pedestrian in Brooklyn

Brooklyn, NYC – A 53-year-old male pedestrian was fatally struck by a police van on Schenectady Avenue in Crown Heights at approximately 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Allegedly, the police vehicle was transporting prisoners when it hit the man standing in the center median on Eastern Parkway. The victim was rushed to Kings County Hospital, but could not be saved.
