Teen Bicyclist Dies Days After Hit-and-Run Driver Strikes Him in Queens

Queens, NYC – A 16-year-old bicyclist died days after a hit-and-run driver of a Toyota Camry struck him on College Point Boulevard near 18th Avenue at around 9:30 p.m. on June 4. The Corona teen sustained head injuries and was taken to NYC & Health/Jacobi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead three days later.

Speed limits have been lowered on 10 streets in all five boroughs of NYC in an attempt to prevent pedestrian fatalities.
