Two Killed in Suffern Vehicle Collision Involving Tractor-Trailer

Suffern, NY – Two people were killed in a vehicle crash that involved a Chevrolet Tahoe and a tractor-trailer on the New York State Thruway at around 1:34 a.m. on September 21. The tragic incident claimed the lives of an 18-year-old Spring Valley man (driver of the Tahoe) and a 26-year-old Monsey man (passenger), who were both pronounced dead at the scene. Allegedly, the 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe attempted to change lanes and collided into a 2007 Peterbilt tractor-trailer with a 59-year-old man behind the wheel. The truck driver was taken to Westchester Medical Center after extrication from being trapped in the cab of his truck.
