Wife Dead, Husband Injured as Drag-Racer Strikes Couple in Brooklyn

Brooklyn, NYC – A 20-year-old woman was killed and her 23-year-old husband was injured after a drag-racing driver of a Dodge Charger hopped the curb and struck them, while standing on the sidewalk at Eastern Parkway and Utica Avenue in Crown Heights at around 3:00 a.m. on August 9. The driver abandoned his ride and fled the scene with one of the other drag-racing vehicles.
