22-Year-Old Woman Killed in Grand Central Parkway Car Crash

Queens, NY – According to police reports, an Astoria woman was killed in a car crash that occurred on Grand Central Parkway in Corona at about 1:22 p.m. of June 7. The 22-year-old female passenger of a 2002 Subaru Impreza was with a 21-year-old driver who was zooming eastbound near the 51st Avenue exit and was trying to change lanes near Flushing Meadows-Corona Park when the vehicle spun out of control slamming into a median guardrail. This caused a 2019 Nissan SUV to smash from behind, pushing it further into the guardrail.

The Subaru female passenger sustained serious head and body trauma and was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, but couldn’t be saved. On the other hand, the Subaru driver suffered a minor arm injury, while the SUV operator did not suffer any injuries from the accident.
