Man Struck by Tractor Trailer in a Fatal Crash in Interstate-87

Sloatsburg, NY – A 45-year-old male driver behind the wheel of a 2019 Jeep traveling southbound on the New York State Thruway was struck by a 2019 Freightliner and crashed into a guardrail at about 11:18 p.m. of June 6. State police arrived at the scene of the accident at Interstate-87 near mile marker 331. The tractor trailer operator was uninjured, however the Jeep driver was pronounced dead on-the-spot by EMS personnel.
