27-Year-Old Volkswagen Driver Took Off After Striking Three Cars in West Islip

Suffolk County, NY – A 27-year-old man driving a 2012 Volkswagen took off after striking three vehicles on Montauk Highway near Snedecor Avenue in West Islip at around 7:20 a.m. on December 9. The Lindenhurst man fled the scene after crashing into a 2019 Honda Accord, a 2008 Volkswagen Golf, and a 2013 Chrysler. The Suffolk County police later arrested and charged the suspect with three counts of leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
