46-year-old man killed, teen injured after a crash in Suffolk County

Mastic Beach, NYC – A 46-year-old man driving a 2022 Hyundai lost control of his vehicle and collided with a tree on Mastic Road.

The authorities have determined that the driver experienced a medical event prior to the accident.

The car veered across the southbound traffic lanes, mounted a curb, and ultimately crashed into a tree and a utility pole.

Fortunately, the 16-year-old passenger sustained only minor injuries and was discharged at the scene into the care of her family.
