Queens & Manhattan, NY – Four people were injured in two different locations within a matter of hours on Thursday, July 9. At approximately 5:16 p.m. on Union Turnpike and Winchester Boulevard in Glen Oaks, Queens, three people were injured from a falling tree. At around 7:40 p.m. of the same day at Fifth Avenue and East 98th Street on the Upper East Side, a police officer was hurt from a falling branch upon responding to a call for a car hit by dropping tree parts. All patients were transported to local hospitals.
