North Bellmore Crash Seriously Injures Family With 2-Month-Old Baby

North Bellmore, NY – A family, including a two-month old child, was seriously injured after a vehicle collision on Old Britton Road in North Bellmore just before 11:00 a.m. on August 9. The terrifying crash was caught on cam showing an SUV flying off the Southern State Parkway, over a fence, and then struck a pickup truck before crashing into a parked car. The family inside the vehicle included a mother, her son, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, and a two-month old grandson. A helpful bystander pulled the baby out of the smoking vehicle and handed the child to his mother, who was on the ground. The patients were rushed to Nassau University Medical Center for suffering severe injuries. New York State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
