NYC Off-Duty Correction Officer Arrested for Drunk Driving After Car Crashed Into Tree in Roosevelt Island

Roosevelt Island, NY – An NYC off-duty correction officer, 29, and his older brother, 33, were arrested after drunk driving and crashing into a tree on West Loop Road at around 8:00 p.m. last October 23. The Department of Corrections Officer lost control of the 2006 Chrysler and admitted to driving the car and smelled of alcohol; however, he refused to take a breathalyzer test. According to his spokesman, the DOC officer got suspended from work following the crash.
