Around 7 in the morning of Sunday, May 3, a Suffolk County woman named Gresmor J. Blackman-Douglas was killed in a single-car crash on the Southern State Parkway near exit 15S in Hempstead, NY when her 2013 Nissan Rogue car struck a tree and caught fire. The 58-year-old victim was on her way to work as a critical care nurse at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn at the time of the fiery crash.
