Two Vehicle Crash Middle Island 2026: What to Do After Serious Injuries

Middle Island, NY – Around 6:40 a.m. Saturday, May 30, a 26-year-old Shirley man driving a 2005 Mercury eastbound on Route 25 went swerving into oncoming traffic and crashed into a 2007 Honda CRV operated by a 19-year-old Ridge man traveling westbound at Arnold Drive. The victim was rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital for sustaining severe physical injuries.

According to Suffolk County Police, the Mercury driver was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument due to operating an uninsured vehicle and having a fraudulent motor vehicle tag. He is issued a Field Appearance Ticket and will be arraigned on a later date.
