Long Island House Caught on Fire Due to Police Car and SUV Collision

Long Island, NY – A Suffolk County police cruiser and an SUV collision caused a Long Island home and the SUV to be caught on fire at around 2:00 p.m. on January 15 at the intersection of Elkton Lane in North Babylon. Due to the impact of the crash, the SUV careened into the house, setting both on fire. The injured cop in the police car was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital, while the SUV driver was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, both in stable condition.
