Manhattan, NY – Sixteen people, including the driver of the New Jersey Transit bus, were injured from an accident that occurred on 39th Street and Ninth Avenue at around 9:30 a.m. on August 29. One of the passengers was in critical condition as the bus struck a barrier on a ramp near the Port Authority terminal in Manhattan. Authorities say multiple people were found on the ground outside the bus and passengers were trapped inside. All patients were rushed to area hospitals for treatment of injuries. Investigation on the cause of the accident is underway.
