Bronx Woman Dies After Speeding NYPD Cop Strikes Her on Pelham Parkway South
Bronx, NY – A Bronx woman died three days after being struck by a speeding NYPD officer last October 5, 2020 on Pelham Parkway South at Wallace Avenue in Allerton. The victim, a Guatemalan immigrant, was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in critical condition during the accident, but was pronounced dead three days later. The cop, who struck her, was on his way to help a colleague capture a 23-year-old driver of a black Mercedes Benz who was zooming 75 miles per hour down the Clearview Expressway in Queens and trying to evade arrest.
