Drunk Driver Critically Injures Woman Delivering COVID-19 Aid in Queens
Queens, NY – A 36-year-old coordinator of an organization for delivering food to people impacted by COVID-19, was critically injured after a drunken driver struck her on Northern Boulevard near the intersection of 110th Street at approximately 4:00 p.m. on June 24. The 36-year-old female victim was taking the food out of her SUV when the 35-year-old male driver slammed into her from behind, pinning her against the car. The victim was transported to Elmhurst Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. Police charged the driver with vehicular assault and driving while intoxicated.
