Suffolk County, NYC – A 41-year-old driver of a 2022 Mercedes Benz going northbound on North Ocean Avenue at Granny Road struck a 44-year-old man running east across the roadway. The impact also caused the Mercedes to strike a 2021 Hyundai Sonata. The 44-year-old man was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead. Both drivers of the cars were not injured. However, both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
