Smithtown Woman Dies Following a Pickup-Tractor Crash in Coventry, NY
Coventry, NY – Michelle Lieberman, 46, of Smithtown, New York died in a collision involving a pickup truck and a tractor trailer Saturday around 9:51 p.m.
According to New York State Police Troop C Public Information Officer Aga Dembinska, the fatal accident happened at the intersection of NY 206 and NY 235 in the town of Coventry when the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck (where Lieberman was in) failed to stop at a stop sign and hit an Alnye truck.
The Coventry Fire and EMS rushed to the scene and performed life-saving measures on Lieberman, but was pronounced dead at the scene. Two child passengers ages 7 and 12 and the driver of the pickup truck, William J. Derosa Jr. sustained minor injuries and were transported to Wilson Hospital for treatment. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
