Two-Car Crash Claims the Life of a 47-Year-Old Long Island Woman
Dix Hills, NY – A two-car collision on the Northern State Parkway claimed the life of a 47-year-old Smithtown woman at about 9:25 in the morning of June 17. The fatal crash occurred when the woman’s 2002 Ford Explorer traveling eastbound near Exit 42, overturned and struck a tree after rear-ending a 2012 Volkswagen with a 57-year-old Dix Hills woman behind the wheel. As soon as the Dix Hills Fire Department and EMS personnel arrived at the scene, they determined the Ford operator dead at the scene, while the Volkswagen driver uninjured from the accident.
