15-Year-Old Rising Basketball Star Dies in Car Crash
Uniondale, Long Island – A 15-year-old rising basketball star was killed in a car crash on his way to a local gym with a senior teammate and two other people in the afternoon of January 27. The tragic collision unfolded when the car they were in was T-boned by an SUV driven by an 87-year-old man at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Front Street. The sophomore standout point guard was rushed to Nassau University Medical Center, where he could not be saved. The rest of the patients were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Investigation on the cause of the crash is underway.
