3 Injured as Stolen Van Crashes Into Midtown Manhattan Scaffolding
Manhattan, NYC – At least three people were injured when a stolen silver bakery van crashed into a scaffolding on West 45th Street and Broadway at around 5:30 a.m. on March 20. A homeless Maryland man jumped inside and took off with the van, when the driver exited the idling vehicle with a 15-year-old boy sitting in the passenger seat. The driver attempted to reclaim the van, to no avail. Police arrested the suspect a block and a half away and charged him with robbery, assault, and grand larceny.
