34-Year-Old Man Critically Injured From a Fiery Crash in Nassau County
Nassau County, NY – A 34-year-old man (whose identity is withheld) was critically injured in a fiery crash that occurred on the Long Island Expressway at around 3:00 p.m. on January 5. The 2012 Audi burst into flames when it struck a cement barrier after veering off the road in Woodbury. An EMT for the NYPD, who was fortunately passing along the expressway along with two other good Samaritans, pulled the unconscious victim out of the car. The man was airlifted to a local hospital in critical condition.
