90-Year-Old Man Seriously Injured After Falling Down a Sewer on Long Island
Long Island, NY – A 90-year-old man was seriously injured after falling 10 feet down a storm drain outside his residence at 201 Medea Way at around 1:00 p.m. on January 2. Allegedly, the sewer grate gave way when the elderly man stepped on it in Central Islip. Rescue efforts took about 45 minutes to remove the man groaning for help in the sewer. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
