New York City – A 21-year-old aspiring doctor was fatally struck by an alleged 49-year-old drunk driver of a 2017 red Camaro on East Houston Street in Manhattan’s East Village at around 2:45 a.m. Monday. The suspect was arrested with more than 1.5 times over the legal blood-alcohol limit at the time of the crash. He attempted to swerve out of the way and crashed into a Honda CRV, tragically plowing the victim.
