Driver and Pedestrian Killed in a Fiery Car Crash on Bronx Highway

The Bronx, NY – A vehicle collision and fiery crash on a Bronx highway claimed the life of two men about 1:30 a.m. of June 11. A driver of a Dodge Challenger traveling northbound on the Bronx River Parkway at a high rate of speed hit a pedestrian while exiting the highway at East Gun Hill Road. Consequently, he lost control of the vehicle which caused the car to lurch onto a concrete wall and burst into flames.

Upon the arrival of the authorities, they discovered the driver in the burning car and the pedestrian laying on the road, both unconscious and unresponsive. Despite life-saving measures, neither of them were saved.

Some drivers have the tendency to go overspeeding on highways due to less traffic flow. As an unfortunate result, road accidents occur due to their recklessness and negligence.
