Brooklyn, NYC – Six people were injured and dozens of residents were displaced due to a fire that engulfed an apartment building at 58 Vermont Street near Jamaica Avenue in Cypress Hills Tuesday night. More than 130 firefighters responded to put out the flames. Preliminary investigation says the blaze was caused by a possible gas explosion in the basement.
