Staten Island Woman Dies When Drunk Friend Slams Into Truck in Brooklyn
Brooklyn, NYC – A 30-year-old Staten Island woman died when the 2013 black 535-I BMW sedan, driven by her friend, drunkenly crashed into the rear of a 2000 white Freightliner truck on the Gowanus Expressway near Exit 17 on 92nd Street in Bay Ridge on March 11. The victim was declared dead at the scene, while the intoxicated driver, who was previously convicted for DWI, was arrested and taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn in stable condition.
