Two Die in a Head-On Three-Car Collision in New York

New York City – Two persons died in a head-on three-vehicle collision that occurred on State Route 17 in Kirkwood at around 11:20 p.m. on February 5. Police reports say that a 50-year-old Pennsylvania man was driving a 2011 Kia Sorento in the wrong direction and struck a 2005 GMC Yukon head-on. The Yukon, driven by a 27-year-old Windsor woman, was occupied by a 29-year-old man and three children ages 1, 3, and 4. Due to the impact, the Yukon spun and struck a guardrail, while the Sorento rolled over, ejecting the driver. A third vehicle, a 2017 Hyundai Elantra was also struck by some of the debris from the primary crash. The drivers of the Sorento and Yukon cars were rushed to area hospitals, where they could not be saved.
