Woman Dead, Child in Stroller Injured After Being Hit by Truck in Brooklyn
Brooklyn, NYC – A 62-year-old woman, pushing her 1-year-old niece in a stroller, was struck and killed by a flatbed truck while crossing Myrtle and Bedford Avenues in Bedford-Stuyvesant at around 11:30 a.m. on September 2. Allegedly, the driver was stopped at a light and was seated too high up to see the woman crossing in front of him. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the child sustained minor injuries after her stroller was knocked over.
