Highlands, NY – A 21-year-old Hempstead man died in a single-car crash that took place on Route 6 in Highlands, New York at about 6:00 a.m. last Tuesday, August 25. Allegedly, the driver of a 2018 Infiniti with two passengers lost control, entered the center of Long Mountain Circle, and struck a tree. The backseat male passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, while neither the driver nor the front-seat occupant suffered any injuries. The Infiniti operator was charged with criminally negligent homicide.
