Good Samaritan Saves Pedestrian from Being Crushed by Car in Manhattan Crash

Manhattan, NY – Caught on camera was a good Samaritan who saved a pedestrian’s life from being crushed by a car outside the Avi Deli at West 157th Street and Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan. The shocking video shows footage of a horrific incident that happened at around 6:40 a.m. on September 5 when the driver of a blue BMW slammed into a male pedestrian crossing the street in Washington Heights. Fortunately before the car reversed and rolled back, the hero, a deli owner, pulled the victim pinned under the car seconds away from being crushed by the vehicle. The BMW operator struck another car and fled the scene on foot after the stunning crash. The injured pedestrian was rushed to Harlem Hospital for treatment.
