Man Critically Injured After SUV Slams Into Fire Hydrant and Scaffolding in Midtown Manhattan
Manhattan, NY – A 27-year-old man was critically injured after his out-of-control cherry red Chevrolet Tahoe SUV slammed into a fire hydrant and scaffolding at East 59th Street and Third Avenue at around 7:00 a.m. on January 23. One of the two occupants of the SUV, a woman in her 30s was not hurt, but the critically-injured man might need to have his arm amputated after being assessed in Cornell Hospital.
